Connect, Heal, Grow
Yoga for Wellness
“Yoga allows you to rediscover a sense of wholeness in your life, where you do not feel like you are constantly trying to fit broken pieces together”
Yoga that Transforms
I am so incredibly grateful for the transformational effects that Yoga has brought to my life. It has supported me through immense growth and connection with myself.
The Kind Connective is my offering to the community, and my way of passing on the teachings of Yoga, and the tools that Yoga provides us to achieve holistic well being.
I am passionate about Yoga for healing, for depression, anxiety, or stress, and creating a safe and nurturing space for you to practice.
The heart of this space is Kindness to Self, and through being kind to ourselves we may find a kinder world
How do we achieve this? My offerings include Yoga Flows, Breathwork, Mindfulness Practices, Embodied and Somatic Healing.
Thank you so much for landing here, I hope you find heart, healing, and support in this space
Om Shanti xx
About your Instructor..
I am here to pass on the teachings..
I am here to guide you in your healing using the teachings of Yogic philosophy and practices.
My name is Jacinta and with 285 hours of training in Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Mental Health Aware Yoga. I am dedicated to making Yoga and its benefits accessible to everyone. Each class is dedicated to connecting with the human condition, and common challenges we face everyday. Stress, anxiety, depression, or just general overwhelm.
I want to help others find empowerment in their own healing, cultivate joy, resilience, and create a space for you to connect with your true self and the true desires in your heart.
My approach is gentle, and accessible, with embodied and somatic movement that weave in Eastern philosophy with Western psychology in mind. I believe in a holistic approach to healing rooted in knowledge, and the somatic wisdom of our bodies.
MENTAL HEALTH AWARE YOGA
The AHIW reported in April 2024 that…
1 in 5 Australians
aged 16–85 (22%, or 4.3 million) experienced a mental disorder.
17% of Australians experienced an Anxiety disorder
8% experienced an Affective disorder and 3% a Substance use disorder.
1 in 7 children and adolescents
aged 4–17 years experienced a mental illness.
(Stats sourced from https://www.aihw.gov.au/mental-health/overview/prevalence-and-impact-of-mental-illness)
Mental Health is a growing social health concern in Australia, and with the ABS (2007) reporting that nearly half of all Australians 45% have experienced a diagnosable illness at some point in their life, it is proven to be highly prevalent in all spaces that we may gather.
I came to Yoga during a very low time in my life, and through teaching I have connected with people from all walks of life. All reported to have experienced challenging moments in life that impact their mental health. As a mum I see what my children are exposed to and the challenges they face going into their teen years.
My Mental Health Aware training really highlighted to me the gaps in the Yoga industry and it became really dear to my heart that ALL people have access to the teachings of Yoga. That they feel safe, and nurtured to practise.
While Yoga is not a therapy to cure trauma, depression, or anxiety, it is reported to have significant positive effects on those that do struggle. And so it is my offering to create a safe and welcoming space to support you in your mental health and wellness journey.
Please get in touch to see if a Mental Health Aware Yoga 1:1 session can support you.
